This won’t be a long post because there isn’t a ton to write about this, the picture says it all.
Are you’re kids in Elementary school? Mine are, and where we live Crazy Hair Day is fun for the kids and a pain for parents. It CAN be fun though to see the creativity, when it’s done right. My daughter is NUTS about dinosaurs. So when crazy hair day came up in Kindergarten I knew she’d really love to include her favorite thing. After brainstorming a bit, it hit me, why not let the dinosaur tag along!
All I did was pick out one of her dinosaurs that would fit on her head. Very technical business, I consulted a professional. Meaning I had her brother put dinosaurs on her head until they came up with a plan.
I had some little hair clips from when my sister and I made some bows from her. In truth I had some hair clips from when said bows promptly fell off of them (the ones I made, the ones my sister made were genius, hey sis!) If you don’t have any laying around, pull the ugly off one you never liked or pick some up at Hobby Lobby or Michaels (or any craft store). Then break out the glue gun!
I glued mine facing opposite directions on diagonal set feet on the Dino, to really wedge it in there when I was attaching it to her head (that sounds funny out loud). No children were injured in the making of this Crazy Hair Day experiment. Because our chosen Dino was a herbivore, I also glued some little fake plants to a couple of clips. These came off an unfortunate purchase in a moment of weakness at Ikea.
Then some messy buns, some clipping, and some hair color spray! Voilà!
Small effort, big result, happy kid!
