Now that my scrap wood is all assembled and looking oh so very lovely, I’m ready for legs and alternative support. Hairpin legs are just extremely simple, literally screw them on and done. I will say that finding some not sold in a set of four was a challenge but they do exist, I bought two singles on Amazon.
Then I set it up against the wall, (being very sure it’s level all the way across) and marked on 1″ x 2″ boards (the same ones I used for the molding) where I needed to make my cuts.
I attached my 1″ x 2″s to the back of the bench with wood blue and deck screws.
Once the glue was dry, I put the bench back up against the wall (again checking that it’s level) and pre-drilled for anchors. Took the bench back down, and placed 50 lb – self tapping anchors into the wall. Putting the bench back up again I put my screws into the pre-drilled holes in the wood, and into the anchors in the drywall.
Thats it! She’s in, she’s secure and she’s oh so pretty!
